In the face of natural disaster playing music has never before felt simultaneously so frivolous or important.
Hopefully through projects such as the "For Japan" compilation, sound can be transformed into real help where it is needed and perhaps can ease some
of the suffering the tsunami wrought. Ryujin is an improvisational work for wood, metal and water named after the dragon who symbolized the power of the ocean in japanese mythology. It was said Ryujin controlled the tides and that the turtles, fish and jellyfish were his servants.
